Lafayette, We Are Here! America Enters the First World War commemorates the 100th anniversary of America's declaration of war on the German Empire on April 6, 1917.  Follow the story of the little known 167th United States Infantry Regiment, made up of 3,677 men from across Alabama, as they found themselves enveloped in savage European conflict.  See the military culture of the wartime University of Alabama, where recreational quad activities give way to rifle drills and grenade practice.  Lafayette, We Are Here! serves…

This exhibition, held every other year, is dedicated to the studio art faculty of the department. Works in ceramics, digital media, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture will be included. This exhibition is a unique opportunity for the University and Alabama communities to explore the department’s studio research endeavors firsthand.
