DESCRIPTION:September Art Night features the opening of a show by Kentuck Festival Artist Dennis Thompson (Museum Gallery) and the opening of an exhibition entitled\, “The Kids of Kentuck\,” which features work by participants in this summer’s kids workshops at Kentuck (Teer Gallery). In the Courtyard of Wonders\, live music will be performed by Angela & the Able Brothers. Kentuck’s 8 Studio Artists will have their studios open for demonstrations\, questions\, and buying art. Kentuck’s Gallery Shop will be open\, and we offer wine samples to members.

DESCRIPTION:Vernon Alabama’s Gospel Music Weekend will be held September 7th and 8th at the City Auditorium/Complex in Vernon\, Alabama. \nEveryone is invited! Bring your friends\, family\, kids\, church groups\, and anyone else that loves good gospel music. The weekend will feature multi-talented\, award winning Christian artists showcasing a variety of musical styles including Southern Gospel\, Christian Country\, and Bluegrass. \nWe will kick off the fun at 6:00 pm each evening. No ticket required but we are asking for a donation at the door ($5 suggested). There will be a concession stand. Great music and good food at a great price! \nNew Journey Radio will be broadcasting LIVE each evening as well as conducting interviews with the artists. DESCRIPTION:49th Annual Fayette Arts Festival \n205-932-8727 \nGuthrie Smith Park–A great outdoor event for the entire family\, this festival is the longest consecutive running festival in Alabama. Sponsored by the Fayette Art Museum. Alabama’s own Three On A String will lead off entertainment celebrating Alabama’s Bicentennial. The afternoon entertainment will be live\, local groups/individuals which will provide a musical backdrop to the juried\, handmade fine art\, folk art and crafts and free children’s art activities sponsored by local businesses\, and with a variety of food. 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
