DESCRIPTION:Free Christmas event with decorated trees throughout the Civic Center/Art Museum. This year there will be a tree designed and created by The Civic Center’s & Art Museum’s Directors celebrating Alabama’s Bicentennial. Each tree has a theme and is decorated by local artists\, collectors\, businesses\, schools\, church youth groups\, Day Cares\, and/or school & community organizations. There are more than 2 trees per room throughout the entire building! It is a beautiful setting for family pictures or families to host Christmas events. Opening Reception\, Sunday\, November 26\, 1:30-3:00. Free and open to the public Monday thru Friday\, 9am-12pm & 1-4pm. Call 205-932-8727 to book group tours or for other times to tour.

DESCRIPTION:An annual Victorian Christmas celebration with caroling and period decorations and characters. The entertainment includes performances of scenes from “A Christmas Carol” by Theatre Tuscaloosa and music by the 5th Alabama Regimental Band and local choirs. A real English Town Crier and Father Christmas will also make appearances. For more information call 205-758-8651. The event is held annually on the first Tuesday of December.
