Admission is free and open to the public. \nEach Live at the Plaza event will have a selection of local food trucks parked around Government Plaza where food and beverages can be purchased. Government Plaza is also located in the Downtown Entertainment District\, so you may purchase alcoholic beverages to go from nearby participating establishments and bring them onto the plaza. Alcoholic beverages from home are not allowed. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to spread out with your family and friends. We just ask that you leave your pop-up tents at home so everyone gets a clear view of the stage!

DESCRIPTION:Big Brothers Big Sisters Krispy Kreme Challenge on Feb 25\, 2017 at Government Plaza in downtown Tuscaloosa. Registration begins at 7 and the race starts at 9. Last year we had over 700 participants run the race. It is a super fun family event that includes participants running/walking a mile\, eating 12 donuts or a cup of donut holes for the kiddos\, then running/walking last mile. There are team prizes for best costume\, best team name\, and lots of other aspects to the race. Of course\, you can participate and NOT EAT the donuts if you do not wish to. DESCRIPTION:The Druid City Arts Festival’s goal is to provide a quality arts and music festival\, which strengthens Tuscaloosa as a destination market for the arts circuit\, while also educating\, engaging and inspiring both youth and adults about the arts and humanities within the Tuscaloosa community. DCAF has had rich success in introducing new music and visual artists to the Tuscaloosa community and has provided a free day of fun and entertainment for everyone during the past four years. Free festival parking is available in the Intermodal Parking Facility adjacent to Government Plaza on 7th Street. Anyone interested in volunteering\, hosting an organization booth\, or working as a vendor at Saturday’s event can register at www.druidcityartsfestival.com. In 2014\, a full line-up of musicians performed every hour during the event\, 60 artists displayed a variety of work and approximately 7\,500 attended throughout the days activities.

Participants of the race will begin at the Start line\, run one mile\, pick up one dozen doughnuts\, eat the doughnuts and run one mile back to the finish line. In our 4th year\, we look forward to seeing all of the biggest doughnut fans on February 27\, 2016!\nThis is a spectacle and intended to simply be good wholesome family fun. All ages are invited to attend! And note – you do not have to eat the doughnuts to participate. Remember\, this event is a fundraiser for our community’s kids in need through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama!
