Athens, Alabama R&B/soul singer-songwriter Anderson East will open for Grammy and CMA-winning country/bluegrass singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre, Thursday, October 13. Early on, Stapleton was known as a song-writer, with 6 No. 1 hits. He has written songs for a Who’s Who of stars including Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Darius Rucker, Adele, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow and Dierks Bentle. His debut studio disc, “Traveller” in 2015, brought him the Country Music Association’s awards for Album of the Year, Best Male Vocalist, and New Artist of the Year. The disc also won Grammys for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance.
