Work by artists Derek G. Larson and Marc Mitchell will be on exhibit in the Sella-Granata Art Gallery, September 23 – October 23, 2015. The public is invited to a reception on Friday, October 2, from 5-8 p.m. (First Friday).

[mon-i-ter] is a collection of paintings, sculptures and projected animations by Larson and Mitchell. Inspired by recent NSA surveillance rulings, the artists began tracking their own daily activities by using fitness trackers and productivity apps. They logged the number of steps taken in a day, calories burned, hours spent on the internet, hours slept, etc. The project became a self-imposed exchange of data between the two, resembling a devout practice in observance.
