Join Dr. Kevin Woosley, piano for Piano State of Mind, a fairly unique concert that most anyone might find appealing. It will feature everything from “classical” Debussy tunes and Pirates of the Caribbean to Simon & Garfunkel and musical tellings of Edgar Allan Poe stories.
Though piano will be the focus, joining on stage will be the UA dancers, the University Chorus, members of the Huxford Symphony Orchestra, and many other musicians. The concert will end with two rock songs with full rock band: Superstition by Stevie Wonder and Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf (including a member of Steppenwolf on organ).
This event is FREE and open to the public (appropriate for all ages). University of Alabama’s Frank M. Moody Music Building Concert Hall.

The Druid City Arts Festival’s goal is to provide a quality arts and music festival, which strengthens Tuscaloosa as a destination market for the arts circuit, while also educating, engaging and inspiring both youth and adults about the arts and humanities within the Tuscaloosa community. Druid City Arts Festival has had rich success in introducing new music and visual artists to the Tuscaloosa community and has provided a free day of fun and entertainment for everyone during the past seven years. Free festival parking is available in the Intermodal Parking Facility adjacent to Government Plaza on 7th Street. Anyone interested in volunteering, hosting an organization booth, or working as a vendor at Saturday’s event can register at www.druidcityartsfestival.com. For up-to-date news, visit www.druidcityartsfestival.com, follow @theDCAF on Twitter, or call 205-391-9200. The Druid City Arts Festival began as a vision that several Creative Campus freshman students at the University of Alabama had, which was to create a festival that promoted the appreciation of the arts, culture and community in Tuscaloosa. Turning their dream in to a reality, the first DCAF took place in 2010 and has continued since then. In 2019, 90 vendors displayed their art to a record crowd of over 12,000.
